Biography
Thomas L. Parkinson was a Professor of Economics and Business from 1885 to 2002. His specialty was Marketing, and he was the first Director of the Moravian MBA Program. Prior to joining the faculty at Moravian, he was a member of the faculty at the University of Delaware, The Pennsylvania State University at University Park and Lehigh University. His research interests focused on consumer behavior, and he is the author of a number of scholarly papers. He served as a marketing research consultant to a variety of Lehigh Valley clients and was a member of several regional planning task forces.
Dr. Parkinson was also the Program Administrator of two national graduate fellowship programs--The Beinecke Scholarship Program, sponsored by The Sperry Fund, that supports American graduate students in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; and the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Graduate Fellowship Program that supports international graduate students in Conservation Biology and Environmental Science.
